Timika Cousins-Thompson was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia she is a graduate of John Marshall High School. Her story started with losing her aunt to domestic violence which then sent her on a mission to strive to educate and advocate for women fighting for the voice and freedom to say, “IT STOPS NOW”! Going through her own mental and emotional rollercoaster of her own she still strived to out others’ lives before her own. When the phone rings she does not hesitate to answer no matter who’s on the other end.

As a valued member of her community Mrs. Cousins is an advocate against Domestic Violence, she is the proud founder of” The Faces Behind the Purpose for You” an organization dedicated to the intervention and prevention for domestic violence and sexual abuse victims. Mrs. Thompson is a pillar of her community she has not only worked with the Richmond City Police Department she has worked alongside several different organization in the Richmond area. She has served on many boards to name a few Housing Families First for Homeless Interventions, Richmond Chapter ACHI, as well as an advocate for the YWCA.

Mrs. Cousins-Thompson is a faithful member of Worship and Praise Deliverance Church. Timika has received the ACHI award 2018 “Editor’s Choice Award”, she has been featured in the 2019 monthly featured nonprofit organization of the month of January in ACHI, WSWA Association. Timika also was featured in The Richmond Free Press Personality of the Month as well as Humai Magazine.

With Mrs. Timika Cousins-Thompson it is as good as it gets, she is passionate, understanding, kind, caring and warm. She has open arms when it comes to the word called ASSISTANCE. A proud mother of two she is currently employed by Farm Bureau Insurance (Countryway), Certified Life Coach and Business Owner in Richmond VA. What more can you say about this phenomenal woman besides the words awesome all around does not say enough?
